Amond Appointed to Judicial Council of the Louisiana Supreme Court

Kristen has been appointed to serve on the Judicial Council of the Supreme Court of Louisiana as the representative of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
Established in 1950, the Judicial Council serves as the research and advisory arm of the Supreme Court. It studies ways to simplify and improve judicial procedures, addresses systemic issues in the administration of justice, and publishes an annual report compiling court statistics and the work of key judicial bodies across the state.
The Council is composed of 18 members representing various branches of the legal and judicial community, including the judiciary, the bar, prosecutors, defenders, clerks of court, and the public. The Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court chairs the Council.
